Catherine Peters came up with the concept of Bark Bar, a place where you can drink and play with your dog -- and Michael Faber signed on as a partner. "She and I got linked up together and this is what I do as a profession," he explains. "We combined her great idea and my know-how and made it a reality."

Bark Bar official opened on December 29, and "it's been great having the opening kinks worked out and the unwritten rules decided," Faber says. "So far, a successful opening."

The bar is open daily from 10 a.m. to late in the evening, and features eighty craft beers, a full bar, coffee and plenty of seating, not to mention a large off-leash dog run. But while it's obviously a place to bring your four-legged friend, Faber says that "dogs are not a necessity to still enjoy Bark Bar" -- and promises that it can be a great watering hole for humans, too.
