Steve Vice, the exec chef at McCormick's Fish House and Bar, 1659 Wazee Street, is leaving that house of aquatics at the end of this week to make the leap to meat.

Specifically, Vice has been tapped as the opening chef of Shanahan's Steakhouse, which, according to Vice, is scheduled to start slinging steer on Thursday, December 10, at 5085 South Syracuse Street in the Denver Tech Center. "Yes, it's true, I'll be leaving McCormick's later this week. I'm very excited to be working with Shanahan's and Marc Steron, who gave me the hand shake for the job," says Vice.

Steron is the former general manager at Del Frisco's and a seasoned pro when it comes to running restaurants. For his part, Vice isn't saying a whole lot about his new gig -- at least not yet. "I'll be able to share more details when I'm finished with McCormick's," he promised.

We'll be waiting.
