A few weeks go, I received an e-mail from a woman inviting me to a Patrón Secret Dining Society dinner in Denver, and since I'm a tequila tramp, I took the bait.

The idea behind the dinners, which are organized by the people at Patrón and held throughout different American cities, is to pair a kick-ass chef with an equally kick-ass mixologist in an undisclosed location that guests aren't privy too until the last possible moment. In previous cities, those locations have included a private yacht in Newport Harbor and the Finnish Embassy in Washington DC.

And last night, in Denver, the dinner was hosted at the Sleeper House, the futuristic, architecturally dizzying, sculptured, five-story fortress that was originally built in the mid-1960s and later featured in Sleeper, the 1973 Woody Allen film.

The multi-course feast, which was limited to 40 guests, all of whom had correctly answered a riddle about Denver on Patróns website, trumpeted foodstuffs from Troy Guard, the owner/exec chef of TAG and the mad cocktology skills of Brian Melton from TAG and Bryan Dayton, the former drink slinging king at Frasca Food & Wine, who will soon open Oak at 14th in Boulder.

Food and cocktail porn pics from the party, interspersed with snaps of the house (it's on the selling block for $10,000,000, in case you're in the market to blow your inheritance) are after the jump.

Bryan Dayton's Patrón Reposado cocktail with watermelon cubes, meyer lemon juice, agave nectar and dry sparkling wine. These were so ridiculously good that I had two -- and wanted three. No word on whether the convoy of rubber duckies are included in the asking price, but I'm sure it's negotiable. There's no such thing as too much tequila, although if you've ever driven up or down the winding dirt road from the Sleeper House, too much of a good thing, is a bad, bad thing.
If George Jetson were real, this is where he would drink Patrón with other space age dads. Troy putting the finishing touches on his scallop dish.

Seared diver scallop with Colorado green and yellow wax beans, grapefruit segments and local microgreens puddled in an agave nectar vinaigrette. Patrón Silver cocktail with cucumber, cilantro leaves, jalepeno rings, fresh lime juice and agave nectar. Achiote braised rabbit with rabbit confit hash, sweet potatoes, poblano chiles, mole, sweet corn puree and heirloom tomato pica di gallo. Patrón Reposado, Patrón Citrónge, fresh mango puree, grapefruit and agave nectar cocktail. Of course, no futuristic dining room is complete without four foot high chair backs that look like tongue suppressors and, because citified fashionistas in the mountains don't like to wear warm clothes, fire!

That, people, is the living room sofa. I KNOW! Patrón XO Cafe-roasted Palisade peach financier with jicama slaw and avocado marshmallow Patrón XO Cafe andPatrón Silver cocktail with fresh apple juice, ginger liqueur, mole, cinnamon and half & half dusted with grated nutmeg. Troy and his crew from TAG This can be your new 7,600-round-foot pad for a mere ten million dollars.
