UPDATE: Kolache Cabin is back. The mobile food cart received its zoning permit from the city on July 22, and two days later was back in its normal spot on Santa Fe.

Kolache Cabin has pulled up stakes...for now. The mobile kolache kitchen, which first showed up in a vacant lot at Alameda and South Santa Fe Drive last month, was parked at Fourth and Santa Fe on Wednesday with the sign "Closed today. Back at this location tomorrow." But instead, it's now MIA.

According to a post on its Facebook page, Kolache Cabin ran afoul of city rules: "We apologize for no notice. We are having some issues with city zoning. We should be up and running early next week."

In the meantime, kolache lovers are out of luck in this city.
