The Hours: Daily from 4 to 6 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to close
The Deals: Appetizers are $2 off; all draft beer, wine and well drinks are half-price
The Digs: From the inside, the Bridgewater Grill, located in The Golden Hotel, does not venture far from the sterile hotel-restaurant stereotype: Neutral colors, contrived upholstery and rectangular mod deco light fixtures illuminate the interior. But everything takes on a better view when you head outside to the patio, which looks toward the mountains and kayakers along the creek. With a cocktail in hand, we could stay here for awhile.
The Verdict: Golden provides the perfect respite after a day playing in the hills. Golden's happy hours only help to facilitate that adjustment. The Bridgewater Grill is a delightful place to sit back in the shade and contemplate life with a few cheap beers and entertainment provided by the regulars. The appetizers don't cost much, which is the upside, but they leave our palates longing for something a little more tasty. The short ribs ($3) were dry and chewy, the fruit and cheese plate ($4) boring and generic. But if you're not searching for a stellar dining experience, the Bridgewater Grill will have you happy in no time.Overall Grade: B-
