The Denver area seems to have a lot of bank robbers, and the FBI and local law enforcement officials like to tell them apart with funny or clever nicknames.

We've had the Shaggy Bandit, the Perennial Bandit, the Snowboard Bandits, and the Band-Aid Bandit, just to name a few.

But today's bank robbery news is bought to you by a criminal that the FBI has dubbed the Wig Out Bandit -- and for good reason.

On Monday, the Wig Out Bandit robbed his eighth bank in recent months, according to the FBI, a First Bank branch at 2740 South Colorado Boulevard. He didn't wear the wig this time, however, as he did during his first robbery at Public Service Credit Union at 815 Colorado Boulevard.

The Bandit is black, 40 to 50 years old, and between five-foot-eleven inches and six-foot-three inches tall. Anyone with information can call the FBI at 303-629-7171 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
