Yesterday, we posted about negative reactions after 9News posted about the bikini bridge, an online hoax suggesting that women thin down so that there's a gap between their stomach and the suit's fabric when it's stretched hip to hip. Some readers were unhappy at our suggestion that striving for such a bridge is unhealthy, including this one.

I am 36 years old, and not underweight in any way and I have the bridge. This is just normal anatomy for a lot of women. It concerns me that we have actually gotten to a point in our culture where we are vilifying a healthy weight. I appreciate and applaud and admire all you curvy girls. Why isn't that reciprocal?
