On Saturday morning, authorities in Boulder found a man's body beneath some bushes near a shopping center, and while the victim hasn't been identified yet, he's thought to have been a transient.

Unfortunately, this discovery is becoming practically routine in the city, where five other homeless people have died since early April. Here's the sad roster.

The Boulder Daily Camera's rundown begins on April 4, with the death of Janice Adams, known to her friends as "CJ."

Adams, 53, was found near a Boulder Creek path beneath the intersection of Arapahoe and Broadway. Her cause of death is reported as alcohol poisoning.

The next day, the body of Ralph Devore, 51, was found not far from College Avenue and Broadway on the CU Boulder campus. The Camera notes that he'd suffered blunt-force injuries, although the manner of death is officially undetermined at this time.

We were unable to track down a photo of Devore, but the one at the top of this post depicts 32-year-old Thomas Cornell. Here's a small, uncropped version of the image:

On April 15, the onetime Colorado Springs resident was found behind the Target store at 28th and Pearl in a drainage ditch, the Camera reveals. Thus far, his cause of death has not been determined.

Cornell's online obituary gives some details about his background. An excerpt:

Thomas died in Boulder of unknown causes. He loved the outdoors and blowing glass. He never met a stranger. He is survived by his mother, step-dad and loving brothers and sisters.

He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Kathryn Fishman, 59, was the next transient to perish. Over the years, she'd come to the attention of the law, as witnessed by this booking photo:

She passed away of multiple drug intoxication during the evening of May 10 as she slept in Scott Carpenter Park.

A month later, on June 14, Daniel Kitlitz, 27, died in an alley near the Pearl Street Mall. Here's his photo from an online obituary:

He died as a result of heroin intoxication.

And now, another casualty. At about 10:20 a.m. on September 13, according to the Boulder Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Arapahoe Avenue, the location of the Arapahoe Village shopping center, after a passerby saw a body under some evergreen bushes along Folsom.

No age or description of the man has been released to date, but the BPD points out that there were no obvious signs of trauma.

Anyone with information about this latest case is encouraged to contact Detective Craig Beckjord at 303-441-3336 or Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

In the meantime, our condolences to the friends, family and loved ones of those who died.
