Not many details released yet, but in cases like this one, surprises are few and far between. After positive identification and family notifications, the male has been identified as 45 year old Darryl Stricklin of Larkspur, Colorado. The female has been identified as 36 year old Jodi Samuels of Broomfield, Colorado. This case remains open and is an active investigation. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance call occurring at 2791 Calkins Place. Upon arrival officers found a 36 year old female and her 46 year old ex-husband deceased from gun shot wounds.
An acquaintance of the female was present at the time of the incident and reported it to the police. There were three children in the house all under the age of 5 years old and are presently being cared for by Broomfield County Health & Human Services.
