Signature Chefs Auction in Broomfield and ViewHouse Kicks Off Halloween Tonight

Before the Halloween festivities begin tomorrow, here's a real treat: the 2014 Boulder County Signature Chefs Auction. At 6 p.m. tonight, guests can enjoy signature dishes inspired by spices from around the world prepared by a dozen Boulder chefs, including Michael Drazsnzak, executive chef of Colterra. The evening will also feature wine tastings, entertainment and an auction including one-of-a-kind culinary experiences.

The event, which benefits the March of Dimes, is at the Omni Interlocken Hotel in Broomfield. Tickets are $150; find more information here.

The ViewHouse will be dripping in blood, boos and brews all weekend starting tonight. And if you're reading to get in the Halloween spirit, starting today, both ViewHouse locations -- in Centennial and downtown -- will be going all out for Halloween weekend, throwing down three days in a row and handing out $6,000 worth of prizes.

Tonight, on the eve of Halloween, the Witches Brew will be pouring; there will be giveaways and drink specials all night and you can enter to win a trip to see Wicked in New York City. On Halloween night, there will be $1,000 at stake in the costume contest. And speaking of stakes, you might want to bring yours: This vampire-themed night will feature drink specials, DJs, giveaways, a costume contest and the announcement of the winner of the trip to see Wicked. And for those who make it through the first two nights alive -- as well as those who don't -- Saturday night's Day of the Dead party will feature more drinks, debauchery and another $1,000 prize for the most possessed costume.
