From the Starz Denver Film Festival to classic rock, there's a lot going on this week -- but if you're saving money for the holidays, here's the best gift of all: Plenty of the fun is free! You can laugh while you eat cereal, learn robot takeover tactics or simply get your buzz on. Deep Eddy Vodka Industry Challenge at Larimer Lounge (Tuesday, free) Here's a party for the folks who work in the service industry -- or friends of those folks who can talk them into making them their +1. DJ PAGOSA, Callie Belo and SF1 will provide the entertainment, and there will be free booze. RSVP at [email protected] to attend. Warm Cookies of the Revolution: Stupid Questions, Stupid Talents at McNichols Building (Wednesday, free) Thanks to Warm Cookies of the Revolution, the civic health in Denver is thriving. This group always asks the hard-hitting questions and gets discussions going. Tonight, the lineup includes drone-industry insiders and app-makers, who'll be talking about what will happen to the human race once robots enter the workforce. RSVP here for updates.

Cartoons & Comedy at Deer Pile (Thursday, free) Laugh with renowned comedians Andy Juett, Andrew Orvedahl and very special guest Rory Scovel, as they reminisce and joke about the cartoons we all grew up with. Since it is November, the theme will revolve around being thankful -- and we can't help but be thankful for this old gem. Bring a couple of bucks to donate for free beer and cereal.
