The Denver Moth StorySLAM at Swallow Hill Music Hall (Friday, $10) The point of the event is to get as many people together to tell a five minute story. Show up early, put your name in a hat and if it's chosen, it's your time to shine. We're talking about scars this month people, so scrape up your gnarliest memories.

Film Screening: The New York School at Clyfford Still Museum (Friday, $10)

Anyone who cares about abstract expressionism should come to this film and discussion. Even if you know nothing about the subject matter, go learn something. Sound smart at the turkey table rifling off about Adolph Gottlieb's blobs.

Flow n' Joe at lululemon athletica Denver (Saturday, free) You could spend an hour and a half waiting around in the cold to eat some crepes at a brunch spot, or you could get some free coffee and practice your vinyasas and then eat lunch at a normal hour. They'll even give you a mat, so you don't have to advertise where you're going. 20 Horror Plays in 60 Minutes at Bakery Arts Warehouse (Saturday, $10) The Pandemic Collective is finally ready to debut its theater program, and they're doing it in a large way. Allow award-winning Denver playwrights Tami Canaday, Ellen Graham and others to infect you with an twenty horror acts in a mere hour. Damak to Denver: A Picture Me Here Project at Colorado Photographic Arts Center (Saturday, free) Picture Me Here is a wonderful organization that teaches refugees how to express themselves through photography. Last spring, the organizers traveled to a refugee camp in Nepal to teach youth scheduled to relocate in Colorado the art of digital storytelling. Check out the show with photos from the youth documenting their incredible journey and get stories from behind the scenes.

Cowtown Comics Fest 2014 at Morey Middle School (Sunday, free) The comic scene in Denver is strong, and there are always events going on that promote the art of its artists.
