Three Things to Do for Free in Denver April 20-23

There's more than pot in Denver this week. But free events are popping up all around Denver, with small-screen laughs on the big screen, a book that could inspire you to get a career for a cause, and a display of alternative modes of transportation. Comedy Bang! Bang! at Alamo Drafthouse (10 p.m. Monday, free)
After you've toked all you can for the day, hop on light rail and zip down to the Alamo Drafthouse for larger-than-life laughs. The Alamo has teamed up with IFC to bring bringing hilarity to the big screen, with three episodes of Comedy Bang! Bang! starring Maya Rudolph, Mark Duplass and Zach Galifianakis. Start your week off with a bang, bang.

Launch Party for Compassionate Careers at Posner Center (6 p.m. Thursday, free)
Compassionate Careersa book by Jeffrey W. Pryor and Alexandra Mitchell, hopes to steer one million millennials into the cause-focused career sector. From Jane Goodall with the apes to Bill Clinton hanging out in Harlem, the book is filled with empowering stories of people who devote their lives to positive careers and make some money while doing it. Swing by and meet the authors for something that might change your life, and do some good for others.

Moto Ocho Vintage Moped Show at The Matchbox (7:30 p.m. Thursday, free)
Trends are cyclical, just like the wheels on a moped, which are pretty hot right now. Celebrate the stoke of two-stroke vehicles with Moto Ocho at The Matchbox tonight. Hanging from the ceiling will be a whole fleet of beautifully crafted European mopeds from the 1970s. These simple machines are a perfect way to zip around the city in style, so check them out — and show up on two wheels for some free beer.
