Victoria's Secret has announced the identities of its ten newest "angels" — models who'll catwalk in the footsteps of women such as Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks.

Among those named: Taylor Hill, a nineteen-year-old from Colorado.

And not just anywhere in Colorado. Hill was raised near Granby and was discovered at a nearby dude ranch.

Continue for Hill's version of her origin story and more.

Here's the Victoria Secret video announcement about its newest angels....
....as well as a tweet specifically highlighting Hill, with an emphasis on Colorado.

Hill offers details about her climb to modeling notoriety in a 2013 video shared here.

In it, she says, "I was scouted in Granby, Colorado, really close to where I live. I was maybe fourteen, I think. He came up to me and my mom in a dude ranch, which is kind of like a horse ranch...."

The scout "said, 'Have you ever thought about modeling?' And I was confused as to what that even meant," Hill continues. "I never thought I could ever me a model. I was not very confident when I was younger. I used to think I was really ugly."

After a laugh, she adds, "People don't ever believe me when I say that, but trust me. I had really, like, long, straight, frizzy hair and, like, glasses. I was super-awkward and skinny and tall. That was my life."

It's not anymore. Indeed, Victoria's Secret has been grooming her, quite literally, for a more prominent role, as witnessed by two Hill-centric videos related to its 2014 fashion show. Those clips follow the one in which Hill tells how she got from here to there.
