Carne Asada fries and fish tacos were on the menu this week as Gretchen Kurtz stopped by North County, a Baja-style Mexican restaurant in Lowry doing a booming business in the family-friendly east Denver development. It turned out to be a pretty good week for fried fish, as Mark Antonation delved into the soul-food specialty at Aurora's Catfish King. But despite our dreams of distant warm weather in San Diego and the American South, Denver continued its best impersonation of Portland. To help power us through until the sun emerges, we brought you a few bowlfuls of warming Asian noodle soups, none of which were ramen or pho. In other news:
