Sub.mission’s Fusion Factory shows are starting to get a lot of attention: Not only do they bring the biggest names in underground dubstep to Denver a couple of times a month, but the BYOB art studio space that's Fusion Factory's home is a breath of fresh air after all the stale, overpriced nightlife destinations.
Sub.mission’s Halloween show will start at 10 p.m. October 30 and stretch until 5 a.m. October 31 at the Fusion Factory, with music going until the crack of dawn. Gumshoe, Crix Saiz and Nomine are opening, with Japanese producer/DJ Goth Trad headlining and Caustik closing out the night. Goth Trad’s approach to electronic music is nothing if not experimental – he is known for his self-made instruments and using a variety of different samples, live keyboards and other techniques to make his introspective music. Nomine, a UK producer who is in the United States this weekend only, will make his Denver debut at the show. His tunes are distinctly bass-heavy and full of echoing melody, making his work extremely innovative. "I've heard many good things about Sub.mission," Nomine says, "and now I get the opportunity to witness it for myself, and cannot wait."
And Sub.mission isn't just bringing all this noise to town — it's debuting a new sound system at this party. “I’m extremely ecstatic to hear Goth Trad and Nomine on the Basscouch system this Friday in Denver!” says Nicole Cacciavillano, CEO and founder of Sub.mission. “The new system is fitted with othorns, which are four times more powerful than the labhorns in the old system. It’s safe to say the Fusion Factory is going to bump.”
Some never-before material will debut on that new sound system, too. “Goth Trad and Nomine will both be bringing fresh dubplates for their two-hour sets,” Cacciavillano adds. “Hands down, this is my most anticipated event of 2015. See you on the dance floor!”
In addition to all the live entertainment, 111 Media Collective will be doing its custom screen printing on whatever poster or clothing material you bring in to commemorate the event. Early bird deals are over, as are online sales, but tickets can be purchased for $30 at the door at Fusion Factory, 3563 Walnut Street; the Halloween show with Goth Trad starts at 10 p.m. October 30.
