Follow the antics of an unusual storyteller costumed in an odd assortment of recycled materials. She playfully transforms herself, the space, and the materials that surround her as she enacts scenes that provide a brief history of consumerism. From shadow puppets and magical worlds in plastic, to hand and rod puppets, the sets and characters will conjure known and imaginary constellations.
Travel with your quirky guide through the cosmos using what is at hand to navigate worlds in this inventive DIY performance about sustainability with immersive shadows and video imagery.
The show features costumes, characters, and sets built from recycled and upcycled materials and
music created using recycled and upcycled objects and materials and homemade instruments.
The show is written and performed by Betsy Tobin, assisted by George Sherwood and Margarita Blush and supported by the Boedecker Foundation Path to Excellence.
Music by Janet Feder. [Organizer's description]
