Whether at a New Year’s Eve bash or one of its infamous Halloween shows, DeVotchKa’s sprawling and
cinematic music delivers the ideal soundtrack for whatever special gig the band is headlining. But this
weekend, the band will take things to a different level when it heads up a black-tie masquerade that will
honor The Shining at the Stanley Hotel, which served as the inspiration for Stephen King’s 1977 novel.
While DeVotchKa, which released the excellent This Night Falls Forever in August, is a big part of the
weekend’s entertainment, single-night tickets will also include Aerial Happy Hour and an after-party
deejayed by the band’s drummer, Shawn King; package deals offer sunrise yoga, a Bloody Mary bar, pop-
up performances, discounts on hotel rooms, a late-night screening of Stanley Kubrick’s film adaptation of
the book and more.
