Over the last two decades, Keyboardist Erik Deutsch has earned a stellar reputation as a bandleader and collaborator, working with artists like Charlie Hunter, Shooter Jennings, Norah Jones, Nels Cline, Leftover Salmon, Citizen Cope, and many more. At the same time, he’s made five albums under his own name full of willfully un-categorizable compositions that combine jazz, funk, country and rock into a swirling, raucous blend that jumps, struts, croons and shouts. His Fall 2018 tour is supporting the release of his sixth album Falling Flowers, just released on September 14 on LoHi Records.
The Falling Flowers tour band combines longtime acquaintances and kindred spirits, (a hybrid NYC/Denver All-Star band) consisting of: Tony Mason: drums, Brian Drye: trombone, Victoria Reed: vocals, Greg Garrison: bass and Jon Gray: trumpet. [Organizer's description]
