From forest to farmland to the foothills, October brings much to enjoy with friends. This group of friends -- Scratch Brewing Co. from Ava, Illinois; GB Culinary from Longmont; and Spirit Hound Distillers from Lyons -- brings you a memorable evening outside the Denver city limits. Enjoy a welcome cocktail by Spirit Hound Distillers, small bites by GB Culinary and live music; four farm-to-table front range courses by GB Culinary paired with four of Scratch's seasonal brews; and a night cap from one of Spirit Hound's choice whisky barrels. The event is 21 and over. Proceeds benefit The Berry Center: Challenging today's ruinous industrial agriculture system, The Berry Center advances a holistic, "whole horse," approach that takes nature as its measure, consults the genius of the place, and accepts no harm to the ecosphere. They are addressing what it will take to revive farm economics, good land use and vitality for rural America. They understand that the demise of agricultural communities is not just a rural problem but reflects the "unsettling" state of America today. The Berry Center's programs work to create sustainable economies, culture and land stewardship in rural communities. They are both practical and visionary. They are restoring the culture to agriculture. Scratch Brewing Co at; GB Culinary at; Spirit Hound Distillers at; The Berry Center at [Organizer's description]
