Film critic Leonard Maltin, who is perhaps best known for his commentary on the history of animation and Disney films, will be presenting “How the Jews Invented Hollywood and Shaped the American Dream,” a lecture at the Jewish Arts, Authors Movies and Music Festival, which runs through November 12. He will discuss how immigrant Jews gravitated toward Hollywood and pushed the notion of the American Dream to the broader population. The lecture, which costs $20 for adults and $18 for students and seniors, takes place at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, November 7, at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center, 350 South Dahlia Street.
