Are you a gardener without a green thumb? KGNU can help! Come join us at the radio station on Sunday, June 2 as we celebrate spring with our (mostly) annual plant sale that will include veggies, bushes, trees, houseplants, flowers – you name it! Did you know there are 62 kinds of purple flowers, 41 kinds of blue flowers and 33 kinds of yellow flowers? Okay, maybe more information than you need, but as your community voice of the Front Range, it’s our job to keep you informed! And hey, the planet can use all the help we can cultivate by planting living organisms that provide oxygen, improve air quality, preserve soil, and support wildlife. We're also having a garden inspired arts and crafts fair as part of the plant sale. Artists and crafters, with garden-themed items, interested in participating in the sale can contact Kathleen, or 303 499-5314 for details. When you do your part to support Mother Earth, you also support KGNU! Our volunteers are taking donations from May 14th - 28th in KGNU’s backyard at 4700 Walnut Street in Boulder. So please consider planting some extra seeds, dividing them and potting them up for KGNU’s plant sale. All proceeds from the Plant Sale go towards KGNU operations. Thank you for your support and best of luck with your gardening! [Organizer's description]
