Patrick Lee pays homage to Dave Brubeck, Ahmad Jamal, and Oscar Peterson while also sharing a well curated selection of his own daring originals. The demand for Lee's music has led to independent radio play from Santa Barbara (KCSB 91.9) to Tokyo (Radio Forest 76.3) as well as a featured artist segment on NPR's Here & Now. Lee is a Colorado native, a graduate of CU's jazz department, and teaches piano at Metropolitan State in Denver. Lee has released over 30 albums of music influenced by sampling culture, cassettes, records, collages, field recordings, hip-hop, and electronic music. [Organizer's description]
