The Sustainable BARKitecture Dog House Competition features 15 environmentally friendly dog houses designed and built by local architecture firms. The public can tour the dog houses on DIA's plaza from September 18 through October 9.
The public will play a role in selecting the top dog houses through online voting from September 18 through October 5 at www.flydenver.com/bark. One dog house will be named the winner of the “People’s Choice Award” and another will be named the winner of the “Kid’s Choice Award.” Additional awards will be given to the “Best in Show,” “Most Sustainable,” and “Most Innovation” and will be selected by a panel made up of representatives from DIA, Dumb Friends League, Panasonic and the U.S. Department of Energy. All the winners will be announced on October 9 at a special event on the plaza from 4 to 6 p.m.
More importantly, dog lovers can also take home the house of their dog’s dreams through an online auction hosted by the Dumb Friends League from September 18 through Octber 9 at midnight at www.flydenver.com/bark.
