A Remedy — a sincere eleven-track stroll through Americana, bluegrass and folk. But by the time of this year’s Healing, most everything had changed. The group dropped the latter half of its name, shook up the lineup and moved on to a fuller, darker, folksy country sound far more willing to wrap a hip-hop beat around a banjo, give itself over to a delicious bass groove and really commit to jazzy sax interludes. Long story short: It’s a leap forward in the exact right direction.
