Movie cultists, rejoice. An eight-week-long Friday-night series called "Reel Late With Keith Garcia" opens Friday, February 18, with Adventures in Babysitting (1987). Chris Columbus's debut comedy follows a teenage babysitter (Elisabeth Shue) who takes two kids with her to downtown Chicago to help get a friend out of a jam -- with plenty of misadventure in the mix.

Garcia, a popular former midnight-movie host at Denver's Mayan Theater and the Dobie Theater in Austin, Texas, will introduce Babysitting and the eight features to follow on successive Fridays. The schedule: February 25, David Cronenberg's hallucinatory techno-thriller Videodrome (1982); March 4, the Japanese mystery Suicide Club (2002), which begins with 54 high school girls throwing themselves under the wheels of a subway train; March 11, the telekinetic revenge classic Carrie (1976), starring Sissy Spacek; March 18, a double feature of Valley Girl (1983) and Clueless (1998); March 25, Out of Sight (1998); April 1, 9 to5 (1980).

All screenings are at 10 p.m. at the Starz FilmCenter at the Tivoli, 900 Auraria Parkway. For information, call 303-820-3456.
