For many years, Sam's No. 3 on Havana Street kept Sam Armatas's dream alive. When it opened in Aurora in 1969, it was the last Sam's left — and while there are now three Sam's scattered around Denver, this location is still going strong. The food (listed on a voluminous menu of American diner standards mixed in with a streak of pure Coney Island genius) is not always as good as at the original location downtown, but when this outpost brings its A-game, it's enough to make you forgive and forget all former offenses.
