The unique mountain town of Crestone, Colorado has long been a destination for hikers, climbers, and spiritual seekers, all drawn to its beauty, silence, fourteen thousand foot peaks, spiritual retreat centers and its nearby Great Sand Dunes National Park and the numerous hot springs in the vicinity. Its diverse community of fine artists and artisans offers yet another compelling reason to visit: the 4th Annual Crestone Artists Open Studio Tour, October 10 and 11, 2015.
The tour takes place against a backdrop of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains when they are at their loveliest: skies are blue, aspen gold and the peaks snow covered. From 1pm to 6pm for two days, discerning art lovers and collectors may visit members of Crestone Artists in their studios and experience the settings in which these artists create the unique and visionary work characteristic of this contemplative community.
