Denver is a tough city for a sandwich joint to be dedicated to cheesesteaks -- 2,000 miles away from where the real deal was invented, but not so far away that people don't know what a true cheesesteak is supposed to taste like. Denver Ted's has been doing the cheesesteak thing since 2004, first in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, and now at 2020 Lawrence Street. Rolls are imported from the Amoroso bakery in Pennsylvania and Whiz is the cheez of choice, so if you're missing the official sandwich of the City of Brotherly Love, this could be your Mile High alternative.
