Nomelie Cupcakes

The boom in cupcakeries several years ago yielded plenty of fly-by-night operations run by people who thought it might be fun selling cupcakes to soccer moms in the suburbs. Unsurprisingly, most of these were awful, and most of them closed soon after opening. But Nomelie is the exception. Not only is it well-run and professional, but the cupcakes that come out of this kitchen are great -- not too big, not too small, not too sweet, not too weird. And considering that the house runs specials every day, there's always something on the board worth eating by the dozen.
