Purple Door Coffee opened in the Five Points neighborhood in the spring of 2013. In addition to serving beverages made with locally roasted beans, the non-profit coffee shop also serves as an employment opportunity for troubled and homeless youth. Owners Madison Chandler and Mark Smesrud started the venture in order to provide faith-based guidance for at-risk teens. At Purple Door, the crew not only brews good coffee, but they do it for a good cause.
