Frank Bonanno opened Salt & Grinder in northwest Denver in 2014 to address the dearth of true Italian delis in Denver -- the sort of sandwich shops/meat markets that inspired the restaurateur as a kid in New Jersey. With house-cured salumi, bread from the essential Grateful Bread Company, and a mix of potent cocktails, local beers and coffee, this is unmistakably a Bonanno creation. Beyond deli sandwiches, there are salads, pastas and breakfast offerings to make Salt & Grinder a deli for any occasion.
