  • Patio/Sidewalk Dining
When it opened in summer 2014, the District -- just outside the Humboldt Street-Park Avenue historic district in Uptown -- quickly drew a crowd with its patio right on East 17th Avenue. The concept here is "vintage Americana," and the goal is to offer something that's moderately priced, accessible to the neighborhood and -- perhaps most important -- serves dinner until late in an area where other kitchens close early.
