Is there anything more depressing than an employee break room? The linoleum tile, the cold fluorescent lights, the crusty coffeemaker, the science experiments shoved to the back of the fridge — not exactly a place to linger and relax. But Denver's urban winery has managed to take the place where Stanley Aviation employees used to go for a bitter cup of joe and turn it into a welcoming enclave. Comfy couches and throw rugs warm up the space, and period touches like World War II-era flyboy caps and old books evoke a civilized, vintage vibe in which to sip your wine. And a bank of windows that wraps entirely around the space has made those flickering fluorescent tubes obsolete. We'll raise a glass to that.
