Have you always wanted to be b-boy? Here's your chance. No more faking the funk! This Saturday at Cherry Creek Dance on Third and Clayton, three bona fied floor wreckers -- Visa from Dance2Live, Mattlock from the Groproject and BREAKERONE9 from Lordz of Finesse -- will be on hand to show you how to toprock, how to do freezes and how to master your footwork. The class, which runs from 4-7 p.m. and is open to all ages and all skill levels, is $35 if you pre-register and $40, if you wait until the day of the event. Call Cherry Creek Dance (303-399-8087) to sign up or to get more info. If that's too rich for your blood -- after all, we're in a recession here, for chrissakes -- clear a space on your floor and follow the jump for some handy DIY b-boy instruction via YouTubage. Prepare to roll around on the ground in style, as the first clip proclaims. Go on now, Crazy Legs. What are you waiting for? Have at it!

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
