Ceiling repairs finished at the Oriental Theater; historic venue now reopened for business.

Almost a month ago exactly, big slabs of the ceiling over the stage at the Oriental Theater came raining down during a show featuring Doug Kershaw. Thankfully, nobody was hurt during the incident, but it caused the historic theater at 44th and Tennyson to be closed for the better part of the past month while repairs were made and the venue passed the required building inspections. We've received word from Scott LaBarbera that everything's back in place at the Oriental, which has reopened.
