Trying to decide which is more noteworthy — Chad Price playing ten breweries in one day, or Chad Price, clean shaven? (Seriously. We didn’t know dude came without a beard. Cleans up pretty nicely, doesn’t he?) We’re guessing you’re more interested in the latter. To that end, on Saturday, October 17 in honor of the release of Smile Sweet Face, his forthcoming solo album, due out the following Tuesday on Suburban Home Records, Price is embarking on a daylong tour of various breweries across the front range. The tour kicks off at Odell Brewing and Road 34 in Ft. Collins in the morning, followed by stops in at Left Hand Brewing in Longmont and Oskar Blues in Lyons, and a half dozen other spots in Boulder and Denver, culminating with a 9:15 p.m. performance at Great Divide. Assuming he’s still upright (he should be — we’ve seen him drink), Price will be playing twenty minutes at each stop. And then to cap things off, Price is playing a free show at the Oriental on Friday, October 23. On a related note, Price and Jon Snodgrass, with whom he shares frontman duties in Drag the River, are preparing to head out on the revival tour in November with Chuck Ragan of Hot Water Music, Jim Ward from Sparta, Tim Barry from Avail, Joey Cape from Lagwagon and Austin Lucas.
