Earlier today, we posted a Q&A with Brikabrak and Naeem Oba, and now we present you with a free track from the pair to download. Built upon a beat laid down by King Karnov, the track, "I Don't Know," centers on Naeem Oba's rhymes, which he recorded at CCM studios on Colfax, and Brikabrak's dexterous turntable work. The track is slated to appear as a bonus cut on Oba's forthcoming King and I EP and on an impending mixtape alongside songs from much higher profile artists that Karnov has worked with such as Busta Rhymes, RZA, GZA and Raekwon, among others. According to Brik, the cuts will be blended into a seamless mix by another local up-and-comer, DJ Ear Attent. You Are Not One of Us, meanwhile, the first release from Brikabrak and Oba, which is halfway completed, will follow, as will a full-length from the former, titled The Unorthodox, a hip-hop recreation of George Orwell's 1984. That last one features a beat made by Illmind of G-Unit Records.
