Keep Westword Free

Happy 4:20. Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

For many people, 4:20 is a time that holds some significance. For those of us not down with the hippie lettuce, 4:20 comes and goes every day with no fanfare. Fact is, that time of day is no more noteworthy than, say, 1:15, 2:35 or 3:10. (Yes, the irony is not lost here, considering our fishwrap puts out a quarterly supplement called The Chronicle and has garnered reams of press for employing the first medical marijuana reviewer in the country.) Today, however, we'll be celebrating 4:20 by posting something special on the blog that smokers will appreciate -- particularly those into hip-hop. We got our hands on something we think you'll dig. At 4:20, we'll, ahem, dispense with what we have for you. In the meantime, carry on, and smoke 'em if you got 'em.

Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
