Clearly, Michael Jackson's memorial, which is being held in a few hours in Los Angeles at the Staples Center, is the biggest music news story of the day -- and perhaps the year. Amongst all the wall-to-wall coverage (KCRW, the public radio station out of Santa Monica, is slated to simulcast the event live for those locked in cubeland without television access), Randall Roberts and his ace crew at the LA Weekly, our sister paper in Los Angeles, are attending the event and will be devoting extensive coverage on Twitter and on the Weekly's West Coast Sound blog. Should be an interesting read whether you're an MJ fan or not.
