Just in time for the arrival in local bookstores of the issue of Q featuring him, we've received word that Nathaniel Rateliff is slated to play Later With Jools Holland next Tuesday. Don't know what it is about his music that appeals to audiences across the pond, but Rateliff is just knocking their socks off over there -- and good for him. And with the prospect of him sharing stages with his Mumford & Sons buddies, it seems merely a matter of time before he catches fire in this country.
On a related note: A limited ten-inch live recording is forthcoming from Communion Records and the Daytrotter Records. Half of the record is culled from live recordings captured during the Barnstormer Tour Rateliff took part in last year, while the other half is taken from the performance below, at Notting Hill Arts Club in London this past February.
