It's not Christmas yet, but you'd certainly be excused for thinking otherwise, what with the radio already playing round-the-clock holiday tunes and the new shows we've been gifted with. Looks like somebody's been on their best behavior (god knows it wasn't us). Whatever the case, we're now being rewarded with a new date from Morrissey at the Temple Buell and a bunch of other shows, including an early spring concert from Sigur Rós at 1STBANK Center, Divine Fits at the Bluebird, Bloc Party at the Ogden. Wait, there's more. A lot more. Carrie Underwood at 1STBANK; Big Head Todd at the Fox; Churchill at the Ogden; the Used and the Darkness, both at the Summit. Page down for the full rundown.

This Just In: New Concerts and On-Sale Dates


As reported yesterday, Morrissey has rescheduled his Denver date for Thursday, February 21, but the venue is now the Temple Buell Theatre. Tickets for the previously postponed show are valid for the new date, and Ticketmaster will contact all ticket buyers with new seat locations for the Temple Buell Theatre. Tickets ($39.50-$75) are on sale now. Speaking of new dates: David Hidalgo and Marc Ribot's postponed show at the L2 Center for Arts and Culture has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 10. Tickets ($30/$32) are on sale now.

Biggest new show of the week, hands down: Sigur Rós, which is slated to bring its biggest North American tour to date to the 1STBANK Center on Saturday, April 6. Tickets ($40.95-$50.95) go on sale this Saturday, November 17, at 10 a.m.

Country star Carrie Underwood plays two shows in the region with Hunter Hayes, including Wednesday, February 13, at the World Arena in Colorado Springs, followed by a show at the 1STBANK Center on Thursday, February 14. Tickets for both shows go on sale this Friday, November 16, at 10 a.m.

There are a couple of big Ogden shows to look forward to. The first one features Bloc Party, which is slated to return to the Mile High City on Tuesday, January 22. Tickets ($26.50) are on sale now. The other features Churchill, which has graduated from playing back-to-back nights at the Bluebird and is now set to headline the Ogden on Saturday, February 9. Tickets for this one ($20) go on sale this Saturday, November 17, at 10 a.m.

In other, ahem, big news this week, Big Head Todd and the Monsters are playing a show at the Fox on Saturday, December 15, that's almost certain to sell out, like, instantaneously. Tickets ($35.00) go on sale Friday, so don't miss your chance to pick some up.

Divine Fits, the divine collaboration of Britt Daniels of Spoon, Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade and Sam Brown of New Bomb Turks, is making its way to Denver for a show at the Bluebird Theater on Friday, December 14. Tickets ($20.75-$25) go on sale this Saturday, November 17, at 10 a.m.

The Used, a band that hasn't been to Denver in quite a while, is coming back to town on Monday, January 14, for a show at the Summit Music Hall as part of the Take Action Tour 2013 with We Came As Romans, Crown the Empire and more. Tickets ($27.50) are on sale now. The Darkness is also coming to the Summit Music Hall on Friday, February 1. Tickets ($25) for this show go on sale this Friday, November 16, at 10 a.m.
