The Chain Gang of 1974 tapped as support for 3oH!3's upcoming fall tour

With nearly 150 shows under his belt since he began making music under the Chain Gang of 1974 moniker a year and a half ago, two EPs of recorded material (both available for free download) and fans by the truckload, Kamtin Mohager has steadily been gaining momentum that shows no signs of waning. Today we learned that his act has officially been confirmed as support for 3OH!3's upcoming national tour, that group's first ever headlining jaunt, which is slated to kick off in mid-October. According to Mohanger, a former member of the Vanity who says Chain Gang's electro-laden sound is directly inspired by Primal Scream's XTRMNTR, another full-length is in the can and awaiting release later this year. -- Dave Herrera
