Over the next few weeks, we will be following Project Aspect (Jay Jaramillo) and Unlimited Gravity (Ronnie Weberg) as they tour around the country on their first national tour. The pair have grown together collectively in the scene as the Mile High Sound Movement. The two will crisscross the country before returning to Denver on Saturday, March 1, for a show at Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom. In the meantime, these rising producers will check in from the road to share the struggles of tour life.

(Project Aspect - Extra Fly)

Somehow, we managed to fit our incredibly large plethora of gear, four people and four people's luggage into the beautiful steed that is the MHSM Grand Prix (2006, if you're wondering.)

We left home with everything we could to make this experience amazing for everybody involved, and an accumulative $116 between the both of us, meaning food for the day and gas to get us to our first destination. The drive from Denver to our first show in Kearney, Nebraska, was full of hilarious Unlimited Aspect freestyles and weirdness, as always, and when we arrived, we instantly noticed the 40 degree temperature drop. Nothing but country music stations of songs that are easy to memorize by listening to once, and huge open fields of what is usually corn in the summer time. Needless to say, we are great at keeping ourselves entertained.

We love Kearney for many reasons. Through all of our travels in the past, Kearney has always been a staple location to take a break from driving hours on end, fill up on gas, get some food, and possibly get a hotel to rest overnight. It wasn't until about 3 years after we started coming here that we started loving this city. We magically connected with some amazing friends who coincidentally were building a music scene around our type of music.

(Unlimited Gravity - With Gratitude)

We had no idea that this group of family would eventually turn into such a close family that definitely knows how to have a good time. Starting the tour in this city is really great for us for a few reasons. It gives us a chance to run through the motions and learn how to do everything smoothly. This being the first time we've had to empty the car of all of our gear, we had a lot to learn about what we can do to make it all go smoothly. On top of being able to figure out our system, we got to test our new live-set on some incredibly loyal and supportive fans in a very intimate setting -- once again helping us learn! The venue was very small, the sound was very bad, but sometimes in the end, the more you endure, the more rewarding the completion is. The owner of the venue is a very nice guy, as well, and we will continue to collaborate with him on events in the near future.

Today we woke up, and as always, the first thing on our minds is "WHAT IS THE BEST THING TO EAT IN THIS CITY?" We found THEE best Kearney BBQ spot called Skeeter Barnes, which just so happened to be the spot where most of our friends work. Great food, great company, and a special homie discount -- can't go wrong!

Tonight we play in Lincoln, NE at the Bourbon Theatre, and we couldn't be more excited to be back here. Our last performance here was years ago supporting Marty Party, and now we will be headlining with our Triple Threat performance. Needless to say, we are stoked. This is also one of our favorite venues with an incredible promotion company by the name of Rad Kadillac, so when there is nothing but great ingredients, there will be nothing but great results!
