All right Showcase is finally here. You excited? We are. If you're on your way or just getting here, there's a couple of programming changes we wanted to make you aware of that are different from the printed pocket guides and the downloadable PDFs. Most notably, over at City Hall, Bop Skizzum and Air Dubai will be performing in reverse order from what is listed. So rather than Bop Skizzum at 6 p.m. and Air Dubai at 6:45, it will be vice versa. Likewise, over at Rooster and the Moon, Pacific Pride is slated for 12:45 (after a special acoustic set from Alan Andrews of the Photo Atlas, who will be playing songs from his Serious Moonlight project), before Esme from Paper Bird, who's performing under the name Esme Tiger Collins. Finally, Della will be kicking things off at noon on the Main Stage in addition to its set at Stoney's at 5 p.m. Have fun! See you out there!
Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
