Win tickets to see Vampire Weekend, Beach House and Dum Dum Girls at Red Rocks

Update: Tickets are gone! We've picked and notified four winners, who will each be receiving a pair of tickets for the show this Friday. Thanks for the all the entries and even more, for reading Backbeat! Keep your eyes peeled for more giveaways.

Bummed about the seeming disappearance of Monolith this year?

Yeah? Us, too.

Luckily, Vampire Weekend has assembled a convenient tour package that will simultaneously allow us to reflect on the dearly departed (we presume) fest as we watch a festival alumni perform, after taking in a couple of the types of emerging indie rock acts that would've likely included in Monolith's lineup this year -- if only there was such a thing.

We've got four pairs of tickets to next weekend's show up for grabs if you and a guest would like to be our guests. To enter, shoot us an email with the name of the artist and album who claimed the top spot at Twist & Shout last week (hint: you'll find it in a post from earlier this past week). Good luck! We'll pick winners this coming Wednesday.

Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
