All right, so this doesn't happen every day: We just received word that local songstress Wendy Woo is going to be getting hitched next Saturday to Charles Snynder, whom she met a decade ago and reconnected with last year.

The way we understand it, Snyder initially hired her to perform at annual parties he hosted, and the two developed a friendship over the years. Friendships blossom into romance every day -- that's not the noteworthy part. Seldom, however, are these relationships commemorated by having the mayor of your city perform the ceremony. Well, unless you know him, that is, which Woo evidently does.

From performing at the Wynkoop to playing fundraisers for his campaign, Woo and Hickenlooper reportedly go way back, and Hick counts himself as a fan, which is why he's agreed to officiate. Returning the favor, Woo is planning to perform at a fundraiser for the mayor's current campaign for governor.
