Denver Police have identified the suspect involved in a hit and run accident on August 27, 2010, at Broadway and Mississippi Avenue as Sarah Trujillo, DOB: 10/20/86. At 12:50 a.m., the driver of a scooter was Southbound on Broadway and entered the intersection on Mississippi Avenue having the green light. When the SUV driven by Trujillo was Northbound on Broadway and turned left in front of the scooter, hitting the scooter and killing its operator. Trujillo pulled over briefly and then fled the scene Westbound on Mississippi Avenue. She was located a short while later at an apartment complex located in the 300 block of Sherman Street. She is being held for investigation of Vehicular Homicide, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Driving Under the Influence.
Denver coroner's office release:
On August 27, 2010 Mr. Brian HOYLE (21/12-12-1988) was transported to Denver Health Medical Center at 1:13 AM and pronounced at 1:24AM. Mr. Hoyle of Denver had been struck by a motor vehicle at South Broadway at Mississippi in Denver. An autopsy was done by this office and Mr. Hoyle died due to a traumatic tear of the descending thoracic aorta. The Denver Police Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating the accident.
