We've been keeping you abreast of developments regarding an epic surgical procedure undergone by AM 760 host Jay Marvin; the operation, which took place in New Jersey several weeks ago, addressed serious medical issues that have kept him from manning his morning-drive shift since March. For the most part, updates like this one have come courtesy of Jay's wife, Mary. Yesterday, however, I received an iPhone note from Jay himself, and while the message was brief, it was decidedly upbeat. "I will be home this Friday night after finishing rehab," he wrote, adding, "Date to return to the air I don't know. We'll see what the doctor says."

For this dyed-in-the-wood progressive, the progress continues.
