Supporters of former Colorado resident David Hartley, who was killed last week on a Texas lake that straddles the border between the United States and Mexico, gathered at Four Mile Historic Park today and marched to the Mexican Consulate to encourage the Mexican government to do more to solve the crime.

In one of the craziest stories of the year, Hartley's wife, Tiffany, has said that she and David were riding Jet Skis back from the Mexican side of Falcon Lake on September 30 when they were attacked by Mexican pirates in speedboats who shot David in the head.

The couple met in high school in Loveland, but had recently moved to Texas; friends and family held signs and chanted "Bring David Home" and "Justice for the Hartleys."
